Last week, as part of our Make Things Do Stuff project with Nesta, Nominet Trust & Mozilla, we were delighted to be invited to the ‘Web For Everyone’ event hosted by Baroness Martha Lane Fox at the House of Commons. With Freeformers, Facebook & Barclays in attendance, the event was a brilliant opportunity for all those working to encourage digital skills amongst young people to come together & speak about how we might better solve the increasingly problematic issue of internet equality in the UK.
Resonating strongly with the Make Things Do Stuff project, Latimer is managing to encourage more young people to get into digital making. During the event, two of our MTDS team of co-creators, Jack & Jamie, were given a platform to get up and speak about their digital making experiences, sharing their insights into digital practices among young people with attendees.
Proud to be working alongside Facebook, Princes Trust & Barclays, we’re looking forward to working more closely with the Web For Everyone partners over the coming months.
